Menus are created independently of pages and can be inserted into a web page using a menu hotspot.
To add, edit or remove a menu click on the 'Menu admin' button in the top command area to go to the menu administration page.
Select the 'Create a new menu' option in the Menu administration area, and press the 'Submit' button.
Type in a name for the new menu and press the 'Submit' button.
Enter the menu building area through the menu administration area. Do this by selecting the 'Administrate menu items' option, and finding in the neighbouring drop-down box the name of the menu that you wish to edit. Press the 'Submit' button.
In the menu building area you can add the top level items for your menu by clicking on the 'Add new top-level menu item' link. When you do this you will be taken to a form that will ask you for the information needed to build the item.
When building menu items you need to type in a label for the item. The label is the piece of text that will represent the item when viewed on a web page. You will also need to select the behaviour of the item, i.e. is it a link or heading? If it is a link then this item acts as a hyperlink and you need to specify where it links to by selecting the page on the left-hand navigation menu. Otherwise, if the item is a heading, it does not act as a hyperlink itself, so there is no need to specify a page to link to.
Sub-items can be added to each item by clicking on it's adjacent 'Add item to sub-menu' link in the menu building area. You will then be able to define this new sub-item similarly to building a top level item, as in Step 3.
Select the 'Remove a menu' option in the menu administration area, and find in the neighbouring drop-down box the name of the menu that you wish to remove. Press the 'Submit' button.
You will be asked to confirm the deletion. To do this click on the 'Yes' button.
